Connect your Shopify store to Optimisium

Prepare your Shopify products, customers and the last 90 days of orders for analysis with read-only access.

What you need for a secure connection

Use an account that can access your store admin and create separate credentials only for this analysis. Never share your personal password.

Least-privilege access

Optimisium reads only the data required for product, order and repeat-purchase analysis. It does not request permission to change products, prices, orders or ads.

METHOD 1 · RECOMMENDED

Create the API connection

This method automates data transfer and reduces the risk of missing columns.

    In Shopify Admin, open Settings → Apps and sales channels.

  2. 2

    Under Develop apps, create a custom app named Optimisium Read Only.

  3. 3

    Select read_products, read_orders and read_customers in Admin API scopes.

  4. 4

    Install the app and copy the Admin API access token shown once.

Order and line-item data from the last 90 days

Customer identity used to calculate repeat purchase

METHOD 2 · ALTERNATIVE

Export the last 90 days as CSV

If you prefer not to provide an API connection, you can run the same analysis with a compatible order file.

    Go to Orders in Shopify Admin.

  2. 2

    Set the date filter to the last 90 days.

  3. 3

    Choose Export → Orders by date → CSV for Excel, Numbers or other spreadsheet programs.

  4. 4

    Keep Email, Created at, Lineitem name, Lineitem quantity, Total and Currency columns.

Shopify connection

Can Optimisium change products or orders?

No. We request only read_ scopes and never request write access.

Do I need Shopify Plus?

No. Any standard store that can create a custom app can connect.

Will the token appear in my report?

No. Credentials are never written to the report or browser logs.
